Treaty of Versailles Project
Step 1 - Wilson's 14 Points
As a class we will read through and discuss Wilson's 14 Points during Friday's class (Dec 11) and watch the video posted to the right. If you were not present during class, you will need to read the following document and watch the video.
Step 2 - Research Your Country
You will click on your classes button on the right to see which country you will be "representing" during this project. You will be doing a quick research on that country and then taking a stance on the League of Nations and Treaty of Versailles.
Once you have seen what country you are representing, you will need to open the Google Doc template and make a copy (CLICK [File] then CLICK [Make a Copy]
Make sure you put your name and the country you are representing at the top & the title
You will then need to do a quick research about your country during World War 1. Answer the questions in the Doc
Step 3: Analyze the two maps and death toll numbers
Step 4 - Learn about the Treaty of Versailles
Complete the two reading over the Paris Peace Conference/ Treaty of Versailles and the Key Provisions in the Treaty. You can skip the 14 Points section and start with The Paris Peace Conference.
Answer the next set of questions in your Google Doc.
Step 5 - Was the Treaty Fair?
The last part of this project is to see if the Treaty of Versailles was fair to your country and their interests. You will take into consideration all of information you have obtained during this assignment and write a conclusion on whether or not the Treaty of Versailles was fair to your country or not. You will write a long paragraph (8-10 sentences) in your Google Doc.
